The Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe, Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib, is disappointed. He is unhappy about Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings not being included in President Mahama’s ministerial appointments.
In an interview on Starr FM with Bola Ray, Hon. Shaib acknowledged the President's efforts. He credited the Minority's pressure in Parliament for keeping the government accountable. However, he highlighted a significant gap: Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings has not been recognized for a leadership role.
“I’m surprised and honestly disappointed that Dr. Zanetor hasn’t been given a ministerial appointment,” he said. He noted her lineage as the daughter of the party's founder. He also praised her diligence and commitment to Parliamentary work.
Hon. Shaib expressed concern over the delay in filling vacant ministerial positions. He believes capable individuals like Dr. Zanetor are being overlooked. He urged President Mahama to reconsider and appoint her to a deserving role.
During the same interview, Hon. Shaib praised Effutu MP and Minority Leader, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin. He described him as strategic, decisive, and a strong team player.
“I’ll rate him 9.2 out of 10,” he stated, commending Afenyo-Markin’s mentorship style and ability to unite members across parties.
He dismissed claims of arrogance associated with the Minority Leader. Instead, he called him “a hardworking and religious man who inspires others through action.”
