2 arrested, one on the run for stealing iron rods from Agenda 111 site

The Kasoa Ofaakor Jei River Police have arrested two suspects. They are accused of stealing iron rods from the Agenda 111 construction site. This site is located in Kasoa Ofaakor, Central Region.

A third suspect is still on the run.

The Agenda 111 initiative aims to improve healthcare infrastructure nationwide.

Police found 31 pieces of 18mm iron rods hidden in a tricycle. This type of tricycle is commonly called 'Aboboyaa.'

During questioning, the suspects admitted this was their second theft from the site.

Eyewitnesses saw the three suspects arrive at the scene in the tricycle. Security officers at Odupong Ofaakor Senior High School intercepted them.

One security officer, Emmanuel Sakyi, became suspicious of the suspects. After questioning them, they confessed to stealing the rods.

Mr. Sakyi's vigilance helped police catch two of the suspects.
