2 dead, others injured in gory accident at Ampekrom Junction

Two women have sadly died in a road accident at Ampekrom Junction. This location is on the Accra-Kumasi highway, near Nkawkaw.

The accident happened early Thursday morning. The driver and another passenger suffered serious injuries.

Nkawkaw Municipal Fire Commander DOII Samuel Mantey reported that his team responded quickly. They received a distress call and rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found a cargo truck had crashed into a parked DAFF truck. The cargo truck's registration number is ER 3428-X.

Emergency responders took the injured victims to Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw. The bodies of the two deceased women were taken to the hospital’s morgue.

In an interview with Adom News, DOII Mantey urged drivers to be cautious. He emphasized this need for caution during the Easter period to avoid tragedies like this one.
