About 300 unemployed and vulnerable youth in Kumasi will receive hands-on training in employable skills and trades under the Youth Apprenticeship Programme (YAP) by Sinapi Aba.
The initiative aims to address the high rate of youth unemployment, particularly among less educated and underprivileged youth.
The three-year programme provides free technical and vocational training, entrepreneurial skills, and aims to transform the economic independence of these young people.
The apprentices will be trained by master craftsmen in fields such as dressmaking, hairdressing, aluminum fabrication, carpentry, and masonry, providing them with a pathway to sustainable employment.
