Tensions escalated in Juaboso, Western North Region. A group of angry youth evicted Chinese miners from a site.

After the incident, Nana Agyeman Prempeh spoke at a press conference. He said they had no choice after many ignored appeals to authorities.
Prempeh described the miners as a threat to health and economy. He warned against any future attempts to reinstate them in the district.
He called on the government to stop illegal mining activities permanently.
Police have secured the site and are restoring order. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
