Appolonia City begins work on Oyibi to Appolonia road to improve accessibility for surrounding communities

Appolonia City has started refurbishing the Oyibi Junction to Appolonia Road. This is a key step to improve access for residents and nearby communities.

The road is 6.5 kilometers long. It runs in front of Appolonia City, connecting it to Appolonia Town.

This project addresses long-standing concerns about the road's condition. It connects Appolonia City with Oyibi, Bonaparte, and other nearby areas.

Once finished, the road will offer smoother and safer travel. Commute time from Oyibi Junction to Appolonia City will be reduced to about three minutes.

Nana Danquah is the construction supervisor for Appolonia City. He emphasizes the city's commitment to infrastructure development and urban growth.

He stated, “Reliable road networks promote economic activity and safety.” He added that they want to improve community infrastructure alongside government efforts on the Adenta-Dodowa road.

“Our goal is to make this road fully navigable for everyone,” he said.

The refurbishment includes grading, compaction, and surfacing for durability. This ensures all-weather usability of the road.

Community members are optimistic about how this will impact daily commuting.

Appolonia City is a master-planned urban development in Greater Accra Region. It focuses on integrated infrastructure and modern living with residential, commercial, and industrial spaces designed for growth and convenience.
