The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has expressed disappointment in Bantamahene, Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, over his role in various disputes destabilizing some communities.
His frustration follows a Committee report on the Adanwomase deity conflict, which implicates the Bantamahene.
During a Kumasi Traditional Council sitting, the Asantehene fined the Bantamahene eight rams—two to be paid immediately—for defying his orders.
He also questioned the chief’s actions, asking, "What at all do you seek?"
His remarks are seen as a stern warning for the Bantamahene to reconsider his conduct and its impact on regional peace.
