Asantehene’s convoy has not been attacked

There have been circulating rumors on social media claiming that the convoy of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, was ambushed by youth in Techiman, Bono East Region, while returning from the burial rites of the late Paramount Queen of the Nkoranza Traditional Area, Nana Yaa Adutwumwaa Dudaa Kani Mmrosa II.

However, Opemsuo Radio has confirmed that these reports are completely false.

The Asantehene safely arrived at his official residence at the Manhyia Palace on the evening of December 2, 2024.

The public is urged to disregard the false claims, as there is no basis for the story.
