Bono Regional Chief Imam to be buried today in Sunyani

The late Bono Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Alhaji Umar Abdul Kadir Coulibaly, will be buried today, December 27, 2024, at the Sunyani Muslim Cemetery after the Jumma Service around 2:00 PM.

Sheikh Coulibaly, who passed away at 88 on December 25 at his Sunyani residence, leaves behind four widows and 16 children.

Sheikh Coulibaly, enstooled as Regional Chief Imam in 2002, served for 22 years, earning respect as a scholar, philanthropist, and distinguished farmer.

The family spokesperson, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, described him as a humble and diligent leader. The date for his final funeral rites will be announced later.
