Nag Fairmont Construction Company has commenced compensation payments to 550 victims of the October 14, 2024, rock-blasting disaster at Gomoa Budumburam in the Central Region.
The blast, which occurred during a highway construction project, claimed four lives, left several injured, and caused significant property damage.
Solomon Darko Quarm, Chairman of the investigative committee and Gomoa East DCE, assured victims that all compensation would be paid.
Robert Hackman, Gomoa East NaDMO Director, facilitated payments on behalf of Nag Fairmont, with special arrangements for elderly beneficiaries scheduled for Friday.
Victims have expressed gratitude to the company for taking responsibility and addressing their losses.
