Dagbon overlord donates GH₵40k towards construction of Tamale Teaching Hospital’s pediatric unit

Yaa Naa Abukari II, the overlord of Dagbon, has donated GH₵40,000 to support the construction of the pediatric unit at Tamale Teaching Hospital, emphasizing the importance of a healthy population for national development.

He called on Dagbon residents and chiefs to contribute to the project. Prof. Alhassan Abdul-Mumin, Director of Medical Affairs, highlighted the unit's current inadequate and scattered facilities, stressing the need for a dedicated center.

The hospital aims to use its 50th-anniversary celebration to raise funds for this legacy project, aiming to provide comprehensive pediatric services in one location.
