Residents of Adansi Domeabra in the Ashanti Region are protesting against plans to sell their public cemetery to a private developer, Golden Bird.
On Saturday, they marched through the cemetery and visited Regent Nana Kwaw's residence, demanding an explanation.
Opinion leader Joseph Kwakye criticized the sale, citing the cemetery's historical significance and tradition of not selling such land.
He alleged that the sale was intended to fund a late chief's funeral but warned that the regent would face removal if these claims prove true.
