The Eastern region has confirmed all 33 Municipal and District Chief Executives.
These nominees were nominated by President John Mahama.
The confirmation process lasted for two weeks.
All nominees received one-touch endorsements during this time.
It began in Mpraeso with David Osei Bonsu Effah. He received 31 'Yes' votes out of 37, which is 84%.
The confirmations ended on Friday, May 16, in the Kwahu Affram Plains districts.
In Kwahu Affram Plains North, Kate Mawusi Babanawo got a hundred percent endorsement.
Moses Tangmee in Kwahu Affram Plains South received 37 'Yes' votes and 4 'No' votes, totaling 90.2%.
Most nominees had full support, showing strong backing for the president's choices.
There were some tensions in Nsawam-Adoagyiri and Akropong but most confirmations went smoothly.
In Kwahu East, NPP MP Dr. Bryan Acheampong supported nominee Samuel Asamoah. He urged assembly members to confirm him.
However, tensions rose in Nsawam-Adoagyiri when MP Frank Annoh Dompreh was blocked from entering the counting area.
This area was cordoned off to ensure a smooth ballot tally.
Overall, the confirmation process was successful due to cooperation between regional minister Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey and NDC executives led by Dr. Mark-Oliver Kevor.
