A two-storey dormitory under construction at Richmere Vocational Institute near Kasoa, Ghana, collapsed, killing three people—a carpenter and two young women, aged 16 and 18.
Seventeen people were inside the building when it collapsed while workers poured concrete for the first floor.
The Ghana National Fire Service is investigating the incident, focusing on whether proper building procedures and permits were followed.
The Fire Service rescued 12 survivors and stressed the importance of strict adherence to building regulations, especially for commercial properties.
