Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo has commissioned a CHPS compound in Gboloo Kofi, Akuapem North constituency, Eastern Region, to improve healthcare delivery for the area’s 30,000 residents.
Funded by her Infanta Malaria Prevention Foundation, the facility includes an outpatient department, labour ward, laboratory, pharmacy, and consulting rooms.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Akufo-Addo emphasized the importance of primary healthcare, especially for women and children, in achieving universal health coverage (UHC).
She expressed hope that the new facility would reduce the burden on existing health centres in the area.
NPP parliamentary candidate Sammi Awuku pledged 24-hour security, internet access, and future incentives for rural health workers.
Traditional leaders and community members expressed gratitude, hailing the centre as transformative for local healthcare.
