Former EP Church Moderator, Very Rev. Japhet Yao Ledo, passes away at 84

The Very Reverend Japhet Yao Ledo, former Moderator of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana (EPCG), has passed away at age 84.

His son, Samuel Koku Ledo, confirmed that he died on December 30 at a private health facility in Ho following a short illness.

Rev. Dr. Lawson Kwaku Dzanku, Clerk of the General Assembly, described the late Moderator as a "reservoir of knowledge" whose contributions will be deeply missed by the Church, the Volta Region, and Ghana.

Very Rev. Ledo, who hailed from Klefe, served as Moderator from 1993 to 2001. He was an educator, theologian, and key figure in establishing the E.P. University in Ho.

He leaves behind his wife, Mrs. Esther Ledo, and three children.
