Ga Paramount Stool Dzase refutes legitimacy of purported press release
This rebuttal follows comments by President Akufo-Addo at the Ga Traditional Council in December
The Accredited Kingmakers, Elders, and Representatives of the Ga Paramount Stool Dzase have rejected a press release from Nii Yaote Oto-Ga II, claiming he lacks the authority to act as Ga Paramount Stool Dzasetse.
In a statement on December 6, 2024, the group clarified that Nii Yaote Oto-Ga II has been barred from the role since 2010.
They reaffirmed that the legitimate Dzasetse is Nii Dr. Tetteh Kwei II, who was enstooled in 2006 and gazetted in 2022.
The Dzase stressed that Nii Dr. Tetteh Kwei II is the rightful authority in the Ga Mantse enstoolment, calling Oto-Ga II’s press release illegitimate and urging the public and media to disregard it.
