Ghana Water workers protest demolition of property by private developer in Greater Kumasi

A water crisis looms in Greater Kumasi as Ghana Water Limited (GWL) workers protest against the demolition of company property by a private developer.

According to JoyNews’ Emmanuel Bright Quaicoe, the destruction includes the fence walls of GWL’s guest house and top management residences, with five more properties slated for demolition.

The water distributor has issued a 48-hour ultimatum, demanding a resolution and restoration of the damaged properties.

Failure to address the issue may lead to a shutdown of water supply operations, intensifying concerns over the potential impact on the region.
