The Goaso Traditional Council has announced a ban on public Valentine's Day festivities in the Goaso area as part of a week-long observance for the late Paramount Chief, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah, who passed away in December 2024 after a lengthy illness.
The Council prohibited noisy parties, hotel bookings, and other Valentine’s Day activities to maintain respect and unity during the mourning period.
The spokesperson emphasized that while individuals may celebrate privately, public events will face strict penalties.
This measure seeks to ensure that the community can honor the late chief without distraction.
