Goasomanhene Nana Kwasi Bosomprah is dead

The Paramount Chief of the Goaso Traditional Area, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah, has passed away at the age of 58.

His death, which occurred on December 2, 2024, was publicly announced by Otumfuo Kyeame Antwi Boasiako on December 16 during an Asanteman Council session.

Nana Kwasi Bosomprah ascended the Goaso stool in 2008 after the abdication of Nana Agyei Ampofo over a chieftaincy dispute. He was also a key member of the committee investigating the Tanoso Stool Affairs, a role that has been affected by his passing.

To fill the void, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has appointed Nana Oppong Frenya, Adankragyahene, as his replacement on the committee.

The cause of Nana Kwasi Bosomprah’s death remains unknown.
