In a historic moment for the Dzita Traditional Area, Ms. Sandra Seyram Kpedor has made a pledge. She is the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Anloga. Her commitment focuses on inclusive development inspired by former President John Dramani Mahama.
Ms. Kpedor spoke at the 2025 Dzita Easter Homecoming Festival. She expressed gratitude to the former President for her appointment. She noted that she is the first person from Dzita to hold this position since 1992.
“I am deeply honoured by this appointment,” Ms. Kpedor said. “This is not just for me—it’s a breakthrough for our community.” Her words received loud applause from residents and dignitaries present.
As a unifier, Ms. Kpedor aims to transform the district. She plans to “reset Anloga” according to the former president's vision. Her speech highlighted collaboration, accessibility, and duty to the people.
“I will ensure Anloga is reset as President Mahama envisions,” she affirmed. “I will keep my doors open to every voice and concern.” Together, she believes they can create a new chapter of opportunity and unity.
Residents and traditional leaders have called for faster development in Anloga District. They seek improvements in coastal protection, road infrastructure, youth employment, and market access.
The DCE’s message was well-received by chiefs and locals in Dzita. Many see her appointment as a beacon of hope for their district. Locals describe her as a “daughter of the soil” who understands their challenges.
During the festival, community stakeholders urged cooperation between leaders and government agencies. They want collaboration with Ms. Kpedor’s office to speed up local development.
Local expectations are high under Ms. Kpedor’s leadership. Her performance will be judged on key issues such as:
- Coastal erosion along Dzita and Anloga coastline
- Support for fisherfolk and women traders
- Youth job creation and skills development
