The Ashanti Regional Judicial Services is awaiting direction from the Chief Justice on the case of Alexander Kwabena Sarfo-Kantanka, the Municipal Chief Executive Nominee for Juaben, after the transfer of Judge Priscilla Dikro Ofori.

Sarfo-Kantanka faces 26 counts of election-related corruption for allegedly bribing assembly members to secure his confirmation as MCE in 2022.

Ofori was scheduled to deliver the judgment on November 28, 2024, but was transferred to the Labour Court in Accra.

Justice Abdul Razak Musah is now presiding over the case.

The Chief Justice will decide whether Ofori will return to handle the case, which has already seen a no-case application dismissed by the court.
