Kumasi: Suspected armed robber lynched at Adum

A suspected armed robber has been lynched by a mob at Adum in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region after allegedly attacking a pedestrian with a knife in an attempt to steal his mobile phone.

The incident occurred at around 5:00 AM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, according to eyewitness accounts. Reports indicate that the suspect, along with two accomplices, ambushed their victim and forcibly took his phone.

However, their plan fell apart when two of the suspects managed to escape, leaving the third behind. An angry mob descended on him and lynched him on the spot.

The two other suspects reportedly fled with the stolen phone.

Police from the Railway Police Station later arrived to recover the body, and investigations into the incident are expected to follow.
