MTN Ghana, along with Zoomlion Private Services Limited, launched a waste management initiative during Easter in Kwahu.
They provided labelled dustbins to help separate waste for recycling. This effort aimed to keep the environment clean during and after the celebrations.
The dustbins were marked for proper disposal of plastic, cans, glass, paper, and general waste.
During the festivities, these bins were placed in key locations like Obomeng and Mpraeso.
The initiative sought to raise awareness about waste segregation. It also aimed to reduce littering and promote sustainable practices among residents and visitors.
Zoomlion staff collected waste from the bins daily for recycling. This reinforced the campaign’s eco-friendly goals.
Adwoa Wiafe, MTN Ghana's Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, commented on the initiative. She expressed pride in being part of this impactful project.
Wiafe emphasized that sustainability is central to MTN Ghana's strategy. She believes collective action drives meaningful change in communities.
The dustbins used during Easter were donated to the Kwahu South Municipal Assembly. This donation will aid their waste management efforts beyond the festivities.
MTN Ghana is committed to helping local authorities maintain clean environments in communities.
