The long-standing chieftaincy dispute in Mepe, Volta Region, has been resolved with the Volta Regional House of Chiefs ruling in favor of Togbe Awuku Anipati V from the Gli Royal Family.
The four-member panel of judges delivered a unanimous verdict on December 19, 2024, affirming his status as the rightful successor to the late Togbega Kwao Anipati IV.
Amid celebrations, Togbe Awuku called for unity and progress in Mepe, urging all factions to support him for the area's development.
He also forgave his critics and emphasized that the chieftaincy dispute was now settled, marking a new chapter for Mepe's future.
