The Resident Engineer for the Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange Project, Owusu Sekyere Antwi, has announced plans to erect a protective fence around the roundabout leading to Kaneshie upon completion.

This initiative aims to curb unauthorized activities, including hawking, which could disrupt the interchange's functionality.

The project, set to be inaugurated on Friday, November 29, was designed to ease longstanding traffic congestion on the stretch.

Drawing lessons from challenges faced at the recently inaugurated Flower Pot Interchange, Mr. Antwi emphasized the importance of proactive measures to maintain order.

He also revealed plans to restore the Obetsebi Lamptey statue and install walkways to prevent vehicle encroachment.

Motorists were advised to use alternate routes due to ongoing construction traffic.
