The remains of a lecturer from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), have been found. Prof Amedeke had been missing for several weeks.
His family reported him missing to the police. After extensive investigations, authorities suspected he was killed and buried at his home in Gyahadze, Winneba.
The police obtained an exhumation order to investigate further. This led to the discovery of his remains.
Forensic experts identified the body. It has been sent to a hospital for autopsy and examination.
The exact cause of death is still unknown. However, one suspect has been arrested and is assisting police.
