Parents of students at Goaso Nursing and Midwifery Training College are worried. They are concerned about the government's delay in posting nurses after graduation.
During a meeting with college management and students, parents shared their struggles. They have made financial sacrifices to support their children's education. They expected timely government postings after graduation.
However, delays have become a troubling trend. Parents noted that their children remain unemployed despite completing their studies. This situation forces graduates to rely on them for financial support, increasing their economic burden.
The parents are urging the new government to address this issue urgently. They believe it negatively affects both graduates and their families.
Matilda Afia Boagyewaa spoke on behalf of the Ahafo Regional Minister. She assured attendees that the government has plans to improve student nurses' welfare. She encouraged students to focus on their studies and stay hopeful.
