Police arrest suspect for stealing EPA vehicle in Tarkwa

The Western Central Regional Police have arrested a man for stealing a Toyota Land Cruiser. The vehicle belonged to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Tarkwa, Western Region.

The suspect is Salifu Gariba. He was caught by officers from the Northern Regional Police Command on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. This happened at Kukobila along the Tamale-Bolgatanga highway.

During the arrest, police recovered the stolen Toyota Land Cruiser. Its registration number is GS 1845-23.

Preliminary investigations show that the vehicle was stolen early on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. It was taken from an EPA employee's home in Budo City, Tarkwa.

Police confirm that Salifu Gariba is in custody and will face court soon. They assure the public of their commitment to safety and security across the country.
