Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Lydia Alhassan, has ordered the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) to deploy water tankers to Accra communities experiencing water shortages due to a major pipe burst in Dodowa.
During her visit to the site, she criticized GWCL for not effectively communicating with affected customers and demanded prompt action.
The minister directed the company to provide temporary water supplies and assured that the issue would be resolved within 24 hours.
She also announced plans to implement nationwide measures to ensure continuous water supply.
