St. Cyprian’s Anglican Cathedral in Kumasi will celebrate Rogation Sunday. This event combines spiritual reflection with professional networking. It aims to impact hearts and livelihoods in the Ashanti Region.
The Anglican Church observes Workers' Day on the 5th Sunday after Easter. This coincides with the state’s Workers' Day on May 1.
“Rogation is a time of asking for God’s blessings on crops,” said Very Rev. Michael Opoku Twumasi. It focuses on prayer and reflection for harvests and human work. It acknowledges our dependence on God for sustenance.
Rogation Sunday has a long Christian tradition of prayer and thanksgiving. This year, St. Cyprian’s Cathedral adds a Corporate Networking Session to the celebration. The Church aims to be a catalyst for socio-economic empowerment.
“This initiative shows the evolving role of the Church,” said a Cathedral representative. “We want to create space where spiritual values meet economic aspirations.”
The event will take place on May 25, 2025, under the theme: “Commit Your Work to the Lord and Your Plans will be Established.” This highlights the Church's commitment to community transformation.
By inviting professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizations, the Cathedral fosters dialogue and collaboration. It opens doors for partnerships that can enhance the region's economy.
Attendees can expect a dynamic program blending liturgical elements with networking opportunities. This encourages idea exchange, experience sharing, and alliance formation.
In today’s world, well-being includes both spiritual fulfillment and economic sustainability. This initiative responds to broader community needs effectively.
Participating corporate institutions include MTN, Nestle, Infinix, and Fidelity Bank.
