Tragic fire claims nurse and three children in Gyinyase

A devastating fire has claimed the lives of a nurse and her three children in Gyinyase, Ashanti Region.

Linda Agyemang, a Kumasi South Hospital nurse, and her children, aged 7 to 14, were trapped when their three-bedroom apartment caught fire around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 8.

Despite desperate rescue attempts by neighbors, the blaze intensified, possibly fueled by a gas explosion.

Firefighters arrived within minutes but found the victims already consumed by the flames.

The tragedy has left the community in mourning, adding to the rising cases of fire outbreaks in the region.

Over 100 incidents have been recorded since January, with six fatalities.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
