Tse-Addo suburb witnesses surge in extra-judicial demotions

The rising plush environment of Tse-Addo in Accra is increasingly becoming a hotspot for extra-judicial land evictions.

The Ghana National Trust Holding (GNTH), with La Stool as allodia owners, has been implicated in several incidents.

One such case occurred at 1 a.m. on January 12, 2025, when armed men, allegedly backed by high authorities, destroyed properties on a 3.5-acre land site owned by Intatec Iconic Enterprise Ltd.

The company, which holds a land title certificate since 2014, claims rightful ownership and has called on police to investigate.

An ongoing court case and an injunction have been placed to restrain further illegal actions on the land.
