The Acting Winneba Divisional Police Commander, DSP Gabriel Kyei-Yeboah, has urged Winneba residents to avoid retaliatory attacks on individuals and properties following post-election violence.
He assured the public that the police actively pursue those responsible for the disturbances.
Speaking to Adom News during the launch of the 2025 Winneba Masquerade Festival, scheduled for January 1, DSP Kyei-Yeboah encouraged residents to trust the police and report violent incidents to help deter future offenses.
Winneba Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Kassim Zubairu, also appealed for unity to advance developmental projects, while Nana Yaw Asamoah, a youth leader, emphasized the need for government support in promoting tourism to boost the local economy.
