'We will make Ghanaians proud at the Unity Cup tournament' - Jordan Ayew

Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew spoke ahead of the Unity Cup. He assured fans they will bring joy in the upcoming tournament.

The last time the national team regrouped was in March. They won against Chad and Madagascar. This victory put them at the top of Group I for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Unity Cup, known as "The Best in the West," includes Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago. The tournament will take place later this month.

Coach Otto Addo will announce his squad soon. Many new players are expected since some regulars may be with their clubs.

Ayew expressed confidence about their readiness for competition. “We’re looking forward to an intense battle on the pitch,” he said. He emphasized their determination to make Ghanaians proud.

Ghana's first game is against Nigeria on May 28, 2025.
