2024/25 Ghana Premier League: Week 32 Match Report – Young Apostles 3-1 Heart of Lions

Young Apostles boosted their survival hopes with a 3-1 victory over Heart of Lions. This match took place at the Wenchi Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The win brings the Apostles to 40 points, just one win away from safety. They have two matches left in the season.

The hosts started strong, scoring three goals in the first 20 minutes. Samuel Prempeh opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Francis Sakitey doubled the lead six minutes later. Huseine Issah made it 3-0 in the 19th minute, leaving Lions stunned.

Heart of Lions scored a consolation goal before halftime through Seedorf Asante. However, Young Apostles defended well in the second half to secure all three points.

This defeat hurts Lions' title chances. They now trail leaders Nations FC by six points with only two games remaining.

Young Apostles will face Karela United and Bechem United next as they fight against relegation. Heart of Lions must win their remaining matches against Bechem United and Nations FC to keep their title hopes alive.
