Bechem United finished their 2024-25 Ghana Premier League season with a 1-0 win. They played against Young Apostles FC at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday.
This match was the last of the season. Both teams had little to gain in league standings. However, they still wanted to play for pride and momentum.
The first half had few clear chances. Both teams struggled to find rhythm in midfield.
The second half brought more excitement. In the 61st minute, Bechem earned a penalty after a foul in the box. Baba Moro Abdulai took the penalty and scored calmly, making it 1-0.
That goal was crucial for Bechem. They tightened their defense and resisted a late push from Apostles. This victory offered some redemption for Bechem, who had only one win in their last 11 matches.
For Young Apostles, this was their final match of their first top-flight season. Unfortunately, they could not end their away-day struggles, extending their winless streak on the road to nine games.
Despite losing, Apostles can be proud of securing their Premier League status before this match. Bechem ends the season positively while Apostles aim to build on their foundation next season.
