Aboubakar Ouatarra to be promoted to Technical Director role at Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oak are in talks with Maxwell Konadu. He is set to become their new head coach next season. Current coach Aboubakar Ouatarra will move to the Technical Director role.

Maxwell Konadu's last position was with Black Leopards in South Africa. He joined them before the recent season but left early this year for unknown reasons.

Konadu is a highly-rated coach. He will take over after the current season ends. He may also lead the team into pre-season after an agreement is reached.

Hearts of Oak aim for a top-four finish this season. They lost the title and must win against FC Samartex on the final day to achieve this goal.

Konadu's last job in Ghana was with Nsoatreman FC. He led them to win the MTN FA Cup in the 2023/24 season. This victory marked their first major trophy and qualified them for the CAF Confederations Cup.
