Goalkeeper Razak Abalora is making a comeback to Asante Kotoko. He left the club three years ago. Currently, he plays for AF Elbasani in Albania.
Abalora departed Kotoko in 2022. He signed a three-year contract with Sheriff Tiraspol. He became the fourth Ghanaian to join the club in two years.
In 2024, he moved to AF Elbasani on another three-year deal. Despite one season there, he plans to return to Kotoko next season.
Initial talks between Kotoko and Abalora have already occurred. This comes amid uncertainty over Frederick Asare's future. Although Asare agreed to a contract renewal, his playing time has been limited.
Abalora had a strong season in the Albanian league. He helped AF Elbasani finish 5th with 50 points. He played 27 matches and kept nine clean sheets.
