Asare’s exploits saves day for Hearts

Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare played heroically yesterday. His performance helped Accra Hearts of Oak secure a 1-0 win over Medeama SC. This victory marked their first win in five league games. The match took place at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Asare's agility was crucial for the team. Without him, they might have lost after a 23rd-minute goal from Raphael Amponsah. Coach Aboubakar Ouattara’s side had struggled recently, losing four of their last five games. They failed to score in three of those matches, including a recent 1-0 loss to Nations FC.

Amponsah scored against the run of play. He received a pass from about 25 yards out and made a long-range strike for the opener.
