Brisbane to build 63,000-seater stadium for 2032 Games

A new 63,000-seat stadium will be built in Brisbane. This stadium will be the centerpiece of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Queensland government announced this plan.

The multi-sport arena will be located in Victoria Park, Brisbane. It will host the opening and closing ceremonies, along with athletics events.

After the Games, the new stadium will become Brisbane's home for cricket. The famous Gabba stadium will be demolished following the event.

Queensland Premier David Crisafulli made this announcement. This decision comes after previous pledges against building a new stadium before the 2024 state elections.
