Coach Otto Addo: "I rank Ghana Premier League very high"

Ghana coach Otto Addo believes the Ghana Premier League (GPL) is improving. He has called up players from the league for the upcoming Unity Cup.

The selected players include Benjamin Asare from Accra Hearts of Oak, Razak Simpson from Nations FC, Kwame Opoku from Asante Kotoko, and Kamaridini Mamudu from Medeama SC. Coach Addo thinks their talent reflects the quality of the GPL.

In an interview, he explained his choices. He noted that the league showcases local talents and has produced stars. These players can compete with some of the best in his Black Stars team.

Coach Addo mentioned that local players have been part of recent games. He rates the GPL highly and looks forward to seeing these players perform.

Ghana will start their Unity Cup campaign on Wednesday against Nigeria. Their second game is on May 31 against either Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago.
