Berekum Chelsea captain Zackaria Fuseini is close to joining Asante Kotoko. He will play a key role in the club's plans for the 2025/26 season.

The 27-year-old is a highly-rated defender in the Ghana Premier League. He has over ten years of experience, playing since 2014. This season, he has excelled with four goal involvements in 30 matches. He scored three goals and provided one assist.

According to reports from Opemsuo Radio, Fuseini has agreed on personal terms with Asante Kotoko. He is expected to sign by the end of this week. Coach Karim Zito recommended his signing and will lead the team next season.

Fuseini will reunite with former teammates Lord Amoah, Patrick Asiedu, and Henry Ansu. They all previously played for Berekum Chelsea before joining Kotoko.
