Eleven Wonders will be an example for Ghanaian clubs in next five years – CEO

Stephen Puro, CEO of Techiman Eleven Wonders, has big plans. He believes the club's vision will set a standard for Ghanaian football in five years.

Puro's comments follow Eleven Wonders' 2-1 win over Real Tamale United (RTU). This victory in the Division One promotion playoff secured their return to the Ghana Premier League. The match took place at the Accra Sports Stadium and ended with a dramatic late penalty.

Last season, Eleven Wonders was relegated from the top flight. They lost their first attempt to return by falling to Young Apostles in a previous playoff. However, this season’s success has boosted confidence among the club’s leadership.

Puro emphasizes that they are not just focused on survival in the Premier League. They aim to execute a broader project that will change how clubs develop football in Ghana.

“The new Techiman Eleven Wonders is a project we are undertaking,” Puro told Joy Sports. “We are not just focusing on qualifying; we want something bigger.”

He hopes that within five years, other clubs will learn from them. He wants even major teams like Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko to take notes.

“We know we have much to learn from them,” he said. “But what we are bringing will help Ghana football and benefit many clubs.”
