Ex-Kotoko Chairman Herbert Mensah reflects on impact of May 9 tragedy

Former Asante Kotoko chairman Herbert Mensah has shared his thoughts on the May 9th stadium disaster. This tragedy happened in 2001 during a match between Kotoko and Hearts of Oak. It resulted in the deaths of 127 fans.

Mensah was leading Kotoko at that time. He vividly remembers that day. "The imagery I have spoken about so many times," he said. He recalls the evening, the rainfall, and the smell of teargas.
