FA Cup Final: “I will make sure we beat Golden Kick and take the cup” - Kotoko coach Karim Zito vows

Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito is determined to win the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup. He insists his team will give their all against Golden Kick in the final.

The match is scheduled for June 15, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium. Kotoko aims to secure their first FA Cup title since 2017. They reached the final by defeating Berekum Chelsea 1-0 in a tense semifinal at TNA Stadium. Their opponents, Golden Kick, surprised Attram De Visser with a 3-1 victory to reach their first-ever FA Cup final.

Zito remains focused and does not underestimate Golden Kick. He stated, “You can’t underrate any club until you get what you want.” He added, “I don’t care whether they are in Division One or not. I am going there for the cup.” Zito emphasized that he will fight hard to ensure victory.

Zito previously led Golden Kick to promotion before joining Kotoko. Now, he is just one win away from bringing silverware to the Porcupine Warriors. Before focusing on the FA Cup final, Kotoko will play Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League on May 18. They aim to finish the domestic season strongly.
