Former Kotoko defender Asmat Abdul-Hamid arrives in Egypt to rejoin Al Hilal  

Former Asante Kotoko left-back Asmat Abdul-Hamid has arrived in Egypt. He is rejoining his parent club, Al Hilal Omdurman. This follows a controversial end to his loan with Kotoko.

Asmat, 20, traveled from the United States to Egypt. He had been with Asante Kotoko during their preseason training tour. His sudden disappearance from the camp raised concerns among fans and officials.

Kotoko terminated his loan agreement after he went missing. This ended his short stint with the club. Asmat is expected to rejoin Al Hilal next month.
