GPL Final Day: Heart of Lions coach Bashir Hayford eyes victory against Nations FC to finish in top four

Heart of Lions' head coach, Bashir Hayford, is ready for the game against Nations FC. This match is the final weekend of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Coach Hayford says his team has prepared well. They aim to win and finish in the top four. “It’s our last game, and we want to see where we end up,” he said.

The team was once in contention for the league title. Now, they are focused on securing a top-four finish. “If we don’t win the title, we want to be in the top four,” he added.

Heart of Lions currently sits fourth in the standings with 57 points. A loss to Nations FC could drop them out of the top four. If Hearts of Oak wins against FC Samartex, Lions will fall behind.

The match between Nations FC and Heart of Lions is on Sunday, June 8. It will start at 3 PM at Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
