Medeama Sporting Club's head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, is preparing for next season. His team aims to win the Ghana Premier League title. They missed out on this season’s title.
Currently, Medeama SC is sixth in the 2024/25 league table. There are only two matches left in the season. They are 10 points behind league leaders Nations FC. This means they cannot win the title this year.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko spoke to Medi TV before their match against Asante Kotoko. He said his team is now focused on winning the 2025/26 league title.
“The team's performance has improved since I took over,” he stated. “It’s important for me to plan for next season.” He added that they will give their best in the remaining games.
“The league title race is over for us,” Coach Tanko said. “After this weekend, we will see who wins the league.”
The match between Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC will start at 3 pm on Sunday, June 1, at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
