Genk wonder-kid Christopher Bonsu Baah excels on Ghana debut against Nigeria

Christopher Bonsu Baah, a winger from Belgium, made his debut for Ghana's senior national team. He played against Nigeria in the 2025 Unity Cup in London.

Bonsu Baah, who plays for KRC Genk, started due to his great performance in the Belgian Pro League. Despite his efforts, Ghana lost 2-1 to Nigeria in the semi-finals at Gtech Community Stadium.

The 20-year-old forward helped Ghana improve after halftime. He was involved in the play that led to Brandon Thomas-Asante’s goal in the 70th minute.

Soon after, Bonsu Baah sent a cross to the far post. Unfortunately, Ayew could not connect and score.

He was substituted by Mohammed Fuseini as Ghana sought an equalizer. Bonsu Baah is likely to play again when Ghana faces Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday for third place.
